My first full-time work experience in graphic design experience was with Trotman Auto Group, a company that owns and manages more than nine vehicle dealerships in the lower mainland BC. As a junior graphic Designer, one of my main tasks was to create captivating graphics for digital ads that effectively speak to potential buyers for dealerships with different manufacturing brands.
For a company that manages many dealerships and consists of numerous moving parts, internal events and communications called for on-brand designs for different purposes. The graphics above are example designs that were used for the company-wide event and communication in client relations.
Creating visual content for a sizeable organization with multiple moving parts across regions taught me much about how environments and activities have huge impacts on the customer profile and general atmosphere of a community.
My biggest challenge was to combine elements and functions of different departments and branches and to represent graphically the entire auto group that exercised his full ownership. Although I did not get to see the completion of the branding project of the entire assets from the digital marketing department I was in during my time there, initiating such classification and profile for each dealership shed many valuable insights.
The strict deadline for my ad designs and website content management to accommodate the marketing strategies of each dealership trained me to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in an organized manner. This experience laid a solid foundation for me to excel in fast-paced, highly collaborative environments.
